Your plan with ATT cannot be transferred to another carrier. You must shop from the plans offered by that carrier.
You can port (transfer) your phone number to Straight talk. An ATT phone will work with a blue ST SIM card, it not with a red sim.
Data from your old phone can be transported to a new phone.

Since Straight Talk phones are compatible with AT&T, it's not only possible to transfer your phone number and info between two phones, but the SIM card slot on Straight Talk phones will accept SIM cards from AT&T.
