@Shanks103

Asurion is NOT AT&T.

Asurion is the insurance company that provides insurance through all US carriers.

So I don't know which mobile phone service you think you're going to switch to to get away from Asurion.

AT&T is not the one denying your insurance claim they have nothing to do with it and they cannot tell Asurion which is a completely separate business how to do business with their customers.

If you did not follow the correct procedure for (1)reporting your activated phone as stolen, (2)providing a police report if necessary, (3)suspending your line of service and (4)blacklisting the phone through AT&T, and (5) notifying the insurance company before you do anything to replace the phone (6) verify ownership of the AT&T account that is paying for insurance to make the claim.

If you didn't do all that, then they can't cover your loss.

So why is Asurion denying the claim?

What of those did you miss?

Asurion does not deny a claim for no reason.   Asurion only covers phones which are activated on a line of service. If the phone was stolen before it was activated it was not covered by mobile insurance.  It may be covered under other insurance. For example if it was stolen because your home was robbed it would be covered under homeowners insurance, or stolen out of your car because your car was stolen it may be covered by your auto insurance. Phone's that are not activated on a line of service are not covered by any mobile insurance provider. Not assurion, and not Apple are + loss and theft ( which not only requires the phone be active but requires find my phone also be functional at the time of loss)

And are they actually denying your claim? Or are they telling you they don't have a phone replacement to give you?

14 Promax has been back ordered for people who ordered phones brand new since november and if Asurion does not have one, they don't have the ability to get one to issue a replacement.

How is it AT&T's fault?  Explain with out expletives.

And  an actual explanation of what's going on, which you have not provided.  Your rant out of frustration is not an explanation and it's not going to resolve the problem. Facts please

And you do understand that Verizon also uses Asurion?   It's not like things would be any different with a different service provider because the insurance company is still the same company.

You are so mad that you're not processing information. 🤦🏼‍♀️

AT&T has nothing to do with it. AT&T is not denying your phone claim. You keep putting this on AT&T when it is in 100% Asurion who is saying that they won't cover your phone.

Why?

Asurion does not deny a claim for no reason. Why have they denied your claim for 2 months? Have you provided them with appropriate information to link your activated iPhone 14 with your insurance payments?

This is by far the worst customer service and insurance company I have ever dealt with. I was paying $50 per month for over a year to insure my cell phones with At&t. One of my devices had a cracked screen, and I tried to get it fixed. To my surprise, Asurion is by far the worst when it comes to insurance services. Asurion was not able to get the phone fixed, and I had to pay $220 out of pocket to have the phone fixed.  I went back and forth with them for 3 days, while my phone was already at the Asurion repair store just waiting for a claim.  Contacted their customer service so many times, that I think I called everywhere in the world (Colombia, etc, etc) without anyone being able to help.   It was so bad the store manager was embarrassed about the situation.  Please don't waste your money on Asurion, they do not back their claims.  Now I'm out $600, Plus $220 just to get a broken screen repaired, and Asurion is just laughing for not being able to get anything done.  I cancel my service with them immediately, but like I said, they already took my money.   Instead, you should put $25 a month aside just in case your phone breaks.  You are better off being your own insurance.

@mperaza88  If it was an iPhone you're always better off purchasing the phone outright from Apple and then getting AppleCare+.
