Medco construction under profile when signing into mobile app

Why was Medco construction under my profile?
I have nothing to do with this company, nor have I ever.
and then I got a message saying, I recently removed my employer benefit through the AT&T signature program. which I did not, at least I don’t think I did because I have no idea what that is... so is this a ex trying to spy kinda thing or just randomness? Kinda making me paranoid lol

I assume you don't work for that business. It sounds like whoever signed you up for service also signed you up for an employee or business discount using the fan number of that particular business.

They may have just used that number in order to waive the activation or upgrade fee.  Or they may have used the number to provide you with some sort of discount on service in order to get you to sign up.   This means at some point the discount probably will disappear and you'll be ticked off because you were told you could get a discount.

Hi waltersprinkle33, let's point you in the right direction for your FAN account concern!

Thank you to our ACE formerlyknownas, for promptly replying.

If you have any other authorized users on the account, we recommend reaching out to them to inquire about the signature program, if the other users on the account are not aware of the FAN account, we recommend reaching out to our Fraud Team at 877.844.5584 or process your Fraud Claim with the form provided.

It can take up to 4 weeks to process the claim; investigation/resolution can take 1-2 billing cycles. We'll contact you via email (confirm we have the correct email address on file).

In the meantime, we recommend:

  • Changing passwords often, especially when shared, written down, or visible. This includes account, online, and voicemail passwords.
  • Change secret questions and answers, if applicable.
  • Contact authorities if they feel someone committed identity theft.
  • Place security blocks with credit bureau agencies like Equifax, Experian or TransUnion to prevent anyone opening accounts with any company in their name.

We hope this helps! Thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums!
