What carrier are you trying to use the 5c on? If it's a CDMA carrier it's not going to work.

Thank you very much for your reply, I think I lost the old att sim, will do backup and restore via iTunes and see if that helps.

Hi
I need to unlock my att locked iPhone.
Device is locked to Att however when I request unlock I get the message
“Looks like the IMEI number you entered doesn’t match an AT&T device. Try entering it again. Dial *#06# on your mobile phone to make sure you have the right IMEI.”
I need to request manual request to get imei checked and unlocked
IMEI: [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.]

I ran the IMEI on Swappa and it comes up “no matching device”. Kind of a problem.
Have you tried a sim from another carrier?
