How do I regift my old, deactivated iPhone X?
I am gifting my old, deactivated iPhone X to my Dad for Christmas. Do I need to buy a new SIM card before he can transfer his AT&T service from his existing iPhone 6 Plus? Or will AT&T send him one when he calls to transfer?

If it is an AT&T phone, then a factory reset of it (after you have gotten your information as needed) is all that should be needed before he puts his SIM into it.

Yes, a SIM card from an iPhone 6 is the same as the SIM card for the iPhone x. All he has to do is move his SIM card
