Can’t turn off automatic VPN

Can’t set VPN so it does not automatically turn on. I’ve tried doing this on settings, but every time I open my phone, it resets.

Hello @Pvole, we understand that not being able to turn off your VPN can be frustrating, and we would like to assist you in resolving this issue.

Here's how to disconnect the VPN on Android:

Open your phone's settings app
Tap network & internet advanced. VPN. If you can't find it, search for VPN.
Next to the VPN that you want to disconnect, tap settings. To disconnect: Turn off that VPN. To forget the network: Tap Forget.

Here's how to disconnect the VPN on iPhone:

From a home screen on your Apple device, navigate to: Settings. General If unavailable, swipe left to access the app library.
Tap. VPN & Device Management. If unavailable, tap VPN.
Tap VPN
From the VPN Configurations section, tap the statues switch to turn on or off.

Something to keep in mind:

The VPN feature has two separate components. Secure Wi-Fi VPN and Safe Browsing. Secure Wi-Fi VPN activates automatically when connected to the network. Safe Browsing is always active. Due to this split configuration, you may see the VPN as disconnected in Android or iOS settings. Secure VPN disconnects automatically when you leave open Wi-Fi networks.

Another step that you can do, is uninstall and reinstall the app for the VPN.
