WiFi Calling and MMS

When using WiFi calling I CANNOT receive group texts (MMS), but I don't appear to have any problems with SMS.  With MMS group texting does not work, instead, I receive texts from individuals with a downloadable file, which won't load until I turn off WiFi calling, at which point I still have to open each file.  When I do turn off WiFi Calling and attempt to load the attached files, it disapears, and the intended message shows up in the group text.  Then I can see the message.

Suggested solutions:

1) fix the WiFi calling so that MMS messages will work.  This bug is problematic when I'm at work and need to see group texts, but my signal inside the building is poor and requires WiFi calling.

2) Have an option to activate WiFi calling only for voice and keep the WiFi calling disabled for text messaging.

Hi @pslindquist

Thank you for reaching out to us. We'll be happy to look into this for you.

What kind of phone do you have? When did you start having this issue? Have you recently updated your device software? Have you tried any troubleshooting, such as resetting your network settings? With more details, we'll have a better idea of how to proceed.

I was going to ask what kind of phone you but I see that @ATTHelp beat me to it. FWIW, I have an iPhone 8 Plus and have zero issues with MMS/SMS when using WiFi-C at home. No problems sending/receiving to other iPhone users or Android users. I leave both, WiFi-C and WiFi enabled all of the time.

I have exactly this issue too. Have had it over multiple iPhones and Android devices.

Currently iPhone 12 Mini and Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G

I read something about APN settings but cannot find the settings I'm supposed to enter.
