S10 still on Android 9 and Aug 2019 Security Patch

I've have reached out to At&t 4 times and each time they have "pushed" an update directly to my phone. I have not received any of those. I have tried using safe mode, Smart Switch, and the SIM card from other line on my account and still my phone shows that my current software is up to date. Last I spoke with At&t they informed me to reach out to Samsung. Samsung gave me the smart switch option and said if that doesn't work then I need to talk with At&t.... for real what else can I do?

Hello @Vjhardesty82,

We'd be more than happy to assist you with updating the software for your wireless device. You can follow the steps at this link to Learn how to update the software for your Samsung Galaxy S10. If you still cannot update the software after following the steps at the link that we've provided, you can use our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool to fix software update issues. Simply select your device and the issue, then follow the steps to find a solution. Please keep in mind that some updates are rolled out slowly and not all devices will get them at the same time. We also recommend reviewing our forums article at the following link to make sure that your cell phone meets all of the Software update requirements listed. Let us know if this helps.

I understand how to look for and install updates. I've also used your troubleshooting numerous times. I have an S10 I've had a Samsung since the S5 and never had to wait this long once At&t rolled out their update. I'm more concerned with not having a current security patch. Browsing through other forums I am not the only one having this issue.

Greetings @Vjhardesty82,

We understand your frustration with not having your Samsung Galaxy S10 not fully updated. We'd like to take a closer look into this for you.

  • What software version do you you currently have right now?
  • And what is the software version you're trying to get?

I suggest you take your phone to a Samsung Center located inside participating uBreakiFix locations and ask them to flash the update for you. That's worked for others.

Be sure to backup your data first.
