Phone disabled after using new AT&T charger

Hi-

I have an LG G4. Phone is *****.

My original charger had gotten loose - not charging properly.

I just purchased a new charger at the AT&T store.

Today I charged the phone and I observed that it was fully

charged. I unplugged it. Started to send a text and the

screen froze. I waited. Wasn't able to restart the phone -

again screen frozen.  I wasn't able to turn the phone off

without removing the battery. Left the battery out for

over an hour. Phone shows the start up screen and doesn't

complete the start up - frozen again.  I just see the LG logo

that's as far as it gets. The blue power light is on.

Neither a soft or a hard reset had any affect.

Please advise.

Hello there @Lassleesa!

I am happy to see you have taken the time to reach out to our Community Forums. As much as we utilize our devices, a boot issue can certainly be concerning. I would be more than happy to assist you in correcting this matter.

Despite the charger being recently replaced, the issue may also lie in a known issue with the LG G4 device booting. This problem was known to be corrected by updating your software to the latest release. You can learn how to update your software here. Select your make and model phone, click on View all Tutorials > System & Storage > Software Update.

I see you had attempted to also soft and hard reset your device; these are great solutions to attempt. If you are still running into any problems, I highly suggest researching into your account for any warranty or insurance replacement options.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us. We are always available to help. Have an excellent rest of your week.
