Numbersync on Galaxy A9+ 5G tablet

Has anyone been able to use Numbersync on a Galaxy A9+ 5G tablet?

I'm getting conflicting answers on whether it should work.

I believe that phone is not an AT&T branded phone. Which means it will not work with number sync

It's not a phone,  it's a tablet,  and it is supposed to numbersync to a phone similar to the way a smart watch does...

Sorry I misread your original post. There is an a9 phone that is an unlocked phone from Samsung that does work on AT&T(limited)

What phone are you trying to number sync? If the phone is not AT&T branded it won't work. If it is it might work.

There have been some complaints that number sync is not functioning  correct

If the phone is unlocked, and the tablet is unlocked, use Samsung's talk and text on other devices not the carrier's program

Should I be able to use NumberSync to sync my Galaxy A9+ 5G to my Pixel 4a?

I followed your link and it doesn't work -- I get stuck where it asks for E911 address and crashes when I try to save my address.

Hi @TheOdysseyFarm, we understand that you are receiving an error while attempting the number synch, and we aim to get this fixed.

Log in to NumberSync

1. From the home screen, select the

 Phone app

2. Enter your myAT&T User ID and Password for the smartphone number you would like to sync with your tablet, then select Sign In.

Note: Review the Let's make sure it's you prompt, then select Send. A text message will be sent to the number linked with your User ID. Enter the 6-digit code to complete the log in process.

3. Select the desired emergency address then select Next, or select Add new address and follow the prompts.

4. Enter a device name, then select Done

Note: For information on how to make and receive calls from your tablet, see the Call Features and AT&T Video Call tutorials.

Important Points to remember:

  1.  NumberSync for Android tablets requires smartphone set up for HD voice on AT&T postpaid wireless account & compatible tablet. To use
  2. NumberSync for video calls on tablet, phone must be video call capable.

Device Limit: Sync up to 5 tablets.

Charges: When tablet not connected to Wi-Fi, data usage rates apply to voice & video calls on tablet. International calls sent on tablet incur charges consistent with phone’s rate plan or international package.

Roaming: Cannot use NumberSync outside US, PR, or USVI.

Calls via NumberSync cannot be used with TTY & will not support 911 TTY calls. Visit att.com/numbersync for more information about 911 services, TTY, and progress with RTT.

If the concern persists, feel free to reach us out for further assistance.

Hey there @TheOdysseyFarm! We understand the importance of syncing your devices, and we are here to get you the information you need.

Let's answer your primary question. Yes, you will absolutely be able to use NumberSync to sync, provided both devices are AT&T branded.

Now, let's address the problem you are facing when trying to enter the E911 address. One of the most common reasons for this is an invalid address being entered. Please make sure that the address you're entering is the same as the one that is listed in your cell phone's Wi-Fi Calling menu.

If Wi-Fi Calling must be used to call 911, we route your call based on location data from your device and the Wi-Fi network. When we can’t determine your location from the data, we’ll use your emergency 911 (E911) address. It's important to provide the address where you’re most likely to use Wi-Fi Calling, so it may be different from your home address. You can update the E911 address at any time in the Wi-Fi Calling menu on your cell phone, or on the tablet that you're trying to connect to your cell phone with NumberSync.

PS- We recommend that you visit the United States Postal Service website to check the correct formatting for your address. The system may be unable to0 recognize the address without the correct formatting.

Hope this information helps, and do let us know if you have any other concerns or questions for us in the future.

Were did you buy the pixel 4a?  If it was not sold by ATT it may not work.  its older and numbersync was worse when that phone was released,
