Just received and setup the new Motorola G5 Plus phone. Overall works fine, but having an issue dialing into voicemail. Would like to customize VM number dialing sequence but cannot find on phone to change the string. Running Android 7.0

Good Evening @Ebjy33!
Congratulations on your new device! These days, voicemail usage is so important. I will be pleased to assist you in getting this situated.
Since the device is not AT&T branded, I would highly suggest setting up your settings to ensure its connection to our network is spot on! You can learn how to configure the settings here. Once you save the context, ensure to reboot your phone.
Depending on your device make and model, the default voicemail dial should already be preset. For additional assistance on voicemail setup, please click here. If you have any questions regarding the device layout or default settings, you can always reach out to Motorola Support.
Let us know how it works out. Have a great weekend!

The beauty of non ATT phones is the apps for ATT messages and visual voicemail for wireless
Makes checking vm so much easier.
you can find both apps in the play store.
I haven't seen the Moto G5 yet, how is it?

user forever, so a lot of time on the phone spent learning the OS and replacing app functionality. I have had ZERO Issues to date. For an under $300 phone, its seems a solid choice

Super. I looked at the G4, but the 5?is even better. I am impressed with the specs for the money. The Amazon version is a real bargain
I'm an android fan. Much cheaper than iPhone, Hope you enjoy.

I jumped on the pre-order from Amazon for this phone and it's my first unlocked phone. I like the phone and I wish I could use it, but 2 weeks out from the release date, the IMEI check on the BYOD page still doesn't let me use LTE. For me wireless calling and wi-fi aren't enough. I found out the hard way that I need cellular data to walk into a store where I have an app, check for the app coupons, and scan the phone at checkout. I'm still using my old MOTO phone. [This is my third MOTO and the first two were from AT&T.] I'm a bit perplexed why others here are delighted. The Amazon listing shows it works with AT&T in every category, but I'm still waiting for that service. I have been to an AT&T store twice and worked through the scripts and APN setup with chat a couple times and I was promised I'd get a call when my device showed up on "the list". I was also told it might take a 1) a couple days, 2) up to a couple weeks, 3) no guarantee. I'm past #1, and sitting at #2.

did your old phone have LTE? If so have them add that imei to your account and you should get LTE.

you can still call tier 2 tech support and give them a IMEI of a working LTE phone and you should get LTE. I never tell att I get new phones anymore.

Same a @GLIMMERMAN76. While the computer seems to know what I'm using, I just swap my SIM card and keep it to myself. The only phone that gave us trouble and had to add the IMEI was my sons Nexus. We had a sim provisioned, but calling 611 and asking for advanced tech support, had them add the IMEI did the trick.
Moto pure edition was turn key out of the box, as was google pixel.
