Tips On How You Can Keep Your Device Safe!
Setup Passwords on your device
The easiest way into your device is not having a security code. This is step 1, secure your device so only you have access to it!
Your lock screen picture
It says a lot about you depending on the image you use. Don’t use an image that may entice someone to take it.
Keep your phone up to date
OS updates happen often and some of these updates patch possible security risks. Having a rooted phone increases your device's vulnerability.
Know what sites you are going to
Some sites may be unsafe and can carry viruses, malware, and spyware that can affect your device. Do not open a link that you feel may be unsafe! If you do click on a link, close the windows immediately.
Be cautious of installing apps to your device
Some apps require permission to use certain features on your device. Some use your camera and mic. While this may be a legitimate request, there is the possibility for abuse. Reading the reviews of the apps is highly recommended.
Review the apps on your device frequently
Verify what permissions each app has on your device. You have the option to remove these permissions. If you do not use an app, delete it. There are some free security apps like McAfee and Avast you can use to help keep your apps secure.
Be prepared to track and lock your phone!
Both Apple and Google have apps that allow you to track your device. If it is lost or stolen, find it now!
Disable automatic sign-in
Some apps allow you to sign in automatically. If these are banking apps, or other apps that have personal information, disable that feature.
Beware of open Wi-Fi
There are always risk using open Wi-Fi and you never know who is on it on what they may be doing.
Warn yourself!
If you have an Apple Watch or Android watch, there is a feature you can use to be notified when your phone loses Bluetooth contact.
AT&T Call Protect
For more information on how you can protect yourself from unsafe calls, check out AT&T Call Protect! Check out the requirements and more information about Call Protect.

Please don't post duplicates.
To keep people from hacking into your email, or any other service or application you should set up two-step verification.
Your phone does not need 2 step verification, your phone is secure unless you do something to make it insecure.
Each email platform has a two-step verification option which will send a code to your cell phone number.
This is how you secure your Gmail on computer. This should get you started. It will work across all devices.

You can set the same up for any email you own. Yahoo, etc
You can also set this up for your social media accounts like Facebook
