Advanced messaging
When I got the software update on my note8, the advanced messaging feature stopped working on the majority of my text conversations. My husband had the update for months before I did and it was still working, but once I got it the update the feature stopped working. we have the same phone and it is running the same software.

Try wiping the cache partition. If that doesn't do it, you may need to do a factory reset.
