ATT iPad Landing

This morning I got a notice from AT&T that my auto renew on my Unlimited MB plan didn’t work (“we attempted to initiate auto renew”), and suggested I go to settings on my iPad to update the account information (which I did) and select a plan to continue service. To do these things, I am taken to an ATT login page.  Here’s the problem, I am happy with my current plan, but regardless, ATT has NO record of EITHER the email associated with my account or the cellular data number associated with my account, making it impossible to log in, to either put in an updated credit card, change the plan or anything else.  Similarly, when I call ATT customer support, there is no record of the Cellular Data number (like a 10-digit phone number) that ATT JUST INCLUDED in this morning’s email.  (Edited per community guidelines)?  And of course, the data plan is now turned off of my iPad.   Any thoughts on how to resolve would be appreciated.

We understand the importance of making sure your iPad has a new data plan, LNorwalk

Special thanks to our ACE, formerlyknownas, for their expertise.

Our first recommendation would be to use this resource to check out our available PREPAID plans for tablets

Our cheapest plan is the 20 GB PREPAID plan for $25 a month. You can even request a data add-on for $10 extra, if you need a little more data flexibility.

Our second recommendation would be to view this resource to learn about PREPAID data-only plans

AT&T PREPAID data plan benefits

  • Includes 5G high-speed data
  • Get additional data add-ons, if you need more data in the month
  • Activate and manage your account online, over the phone, or in-store
  • Save up to $30 per month with the Affordable Connectivity Program, if you qualify. Get details at att.com/prepaidrelief

Our third recommendation would be to get info about data-only plans

Our fourth recommendation would be to use this resource to setup a iPad data plan.

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!

The iPad landing page refers to the session based prepaid plans for data only devices. If you have an email listed on your data connect plan you should have already received notice that those plans were discontinued without grandfathering and have now been terminated. If you had no email connected to this account they had no way to notify you.

Contact AT&T directly and see if you can take part in the discounted offer for AT&T prepaid data only plans. They are offering a deal which would provide the same net cost but for a capped amount of data.

The alternate would be to add your iPad to a phone plan with unlimited data for $20 a month. Or you'll have to take your iPad and find a new service provider
