HBO Max with Apple Single Sign On with iPhone, iPad, Apple TV

Signing into HBO Max through Apple devices using Single Sign On

To access your HBO Max account, you will need to choose AT&T or DIRECTV as your provider. If you use Apple Single Sign On, it may ask that you use your current selected TV provider to sign in.

  1. Open the HBO Max app.
  2. Tap the Profile icon and then tap the Sign In link. If you don't see a Sign In option, try to play a show or movie
  3. Choose Sign In Through TV or Mobile Provider
  4. You will see Do you want to “Allow HBO Max to use your TV provider subscription?”

Tap Don’t Allow. If you are seeing a sign in screen to AT&T TV or AT&T TV Now, go back.

  5. Tap Continue and select AT&T as your provider.
  6. Sign in with your AT&T credentials. Get help if you are having trouble signing in.

Not seeing AT&T as an Option for Providers

  1. Scroll to the bottom and select Other TV Providers.
  2. You will now see the ‘Choose Your Provider’ screen
  3. Select AT&T as the provider

Received ‘Sign in Error’ with Care Code: 205.4 or 201

  1. Make sure you are using the right AT&T ID and Password associated with your HBO Max service.
  2. On the error screen, go back to the previous TV Provider screen.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and select Other TV Providers. You will see the ‘Choose Your Provider’ screen
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to login and select AT&T as the provider
  5. Tap Continue, then enter your AT&T user ID and password

When you click on at&t a dialog comes updating using your hbo.com account for one thing. Then you get can't verify your subscription. I have a elite unlimited so obviously it should work

Try the att.net email address. A password reset is also recommended, it helps sync the backend if that is an issue.
