DirecTV receiver update

Updates are usually automatically downloaded when ready. The only time it is necessary to force an update is usually at the install of a receiver.

What is the model of your receiver?

What software does it currently have?

(Menu, settings, info and test)

you forced the update

it pulled whatever was in the stream

you are risking bricking your unit

it may not be 100% accurate

Model is hr54-700 software is 0x114b but when it did the software update it switched to 0x11ac then I did it again and it went back to 0x114b

0x114B is the most current software version for this receiver as shown below. 

Mine at home also has the 0x11ac software as well though, so my list may be out of date. Like others have recommended I would not force any more updates as software is downloaded as it is released. 

Sorry for the repetitive posts here, did some more looking and found this,

Phased: 0x11ac (beginning 3.9.19)

National: x114b

This means that the x114b is the last download that can be forced and 0x11ac is the most current software being sent to this receiver.

you dont

it will come when its time

0x11ac original release 03.09.19. 

they dont send it to everyone at once

they do a slow rollout

you will get it eventually
