I simply cannot find a way to just cancel HBO without canceling my whole package.

You have to call. 1 (800) 531-5000

You cannot cancel any programming online. Must call DirecTV to remove HBO. Anything that reduces revenue, they want a live agent to discuss to try and minimize the loss.
