Unlimited Plus Wireless Plan but can't log into HBO Max

I have Unlimited Plus as a wireless plan which is a qualifying plan to get HBO Plus for free but when I sign into the app, I get "Can't Verify your Subscription. I use the same login credentials to log into AT&T to view my AT&T bill. Is there something that I'm doing wrong?

I mentioned HBO Plus in the first sentence of the summary by mistake. I'm trying to utilize HBO Max. Sorry.

Thanks,

I am in this boat & similarly unable to log in to HBO Max. My plan is Unlimited Plus, and when I go to the page indicated to see if my plan includes hbomax I am told it does not. I am correctly texting the indicated word to the right number from the account's primary device.

@ATTHelp any ideas on this? Thanks in advance.

I'm happy to report that AT&T figured this one out for me. In my case, because I had used HBO Go during a particular time, I had an email address that was basically a separate, unlinked account ID. This email *is* the same email used in my AT&T account, but they were not linked together.

To resolve the problem, I went to atttvnow.com selected to log in, then selected to reset my password, providing the email address that I was told was my ID. After that, login to HBO Max via AT&T provider worked, and then I was prompted to link the accounts, which also worked.

So, if you are having the problem I was having, which is shown in the three screenshots above, go to atttvnow.com, scroll alllll the way down, click on the "chat with messages" blue bubble, and they can help you.

Be patient and just provide what they ask for and wait. Both people I worked with on the phone and via chat were beyond great.

As mentioned, they determined that I had an old ID, they had to tell me what that ID was, I had to reset the password for that ID because I didn't know it anymore, then log in to atttvnow.com and HBO Max.

At every step of the way between logins and password resets I recommend clearing your browser cache.

Good luck!

I am having the same problem logging in through my AT&T account. I have ATT Fiber and I have added the free HBO Max subscription to my account, so that I see ”My HBO MAX” on my services when I login to my AT&T Account. But when I try to start streaming - and I have tried on multpile devices and on a Windows 10 computer that had never logged in to AT&T or DirecTV before (work computer) - I get the ”Can’t Verify Your Subscription” message copied above in the other user’s messages. I have never subscribed to HBO Now, so that can’t be my issue. I am a DirecTV subscriber, but I have selected ATT as the account to use when I login to HBO Max. I have also changed my password and turned off the SSO option on my Apple devices. Nothing works.

You need to chat with atttvnow.com support. They are the ones that manage TV access through AT&T, whether that's HBO Max or anything else. They were very helpful & it only took one short chat to fix my problem.

Thanks, fprimex. I tried attvnow.com support. They basically just took me through all the steps I had already tried. Finally told me to call AT&T support. Which I also tried. Waited on hold for an hour. Gave up. Hoping someone else has an idea that might work. Still getting the Can’t Verify Your Subscription Error although on my AT&T Account overview it plainly shows I (should) have access to HBO Max.

Having same issues here and it is getting frustrating.... I have Wireless Unlimited Choice, received the text saying I qualify for HBOMAX and it will not let me sign in. Says I do not have the proper subscription, which I do... needs to be resolved!

I have the unlimited wireless plan that comes with hbo max and I have directv also. I don’t have premium channels on my directv package right now. I used my att.com log in to use hbo max app. Does anyone know if we get HBO on our directv account with hbo max or is it separate?? The only reason I changed the wireless plan was to get the hbo and in the small print I read that if you had tv service that your subscription would update to include hbo. Maybe I was wrong.
