Cannot watch programs on apps on my smart TV

I have  TCL Roku smart TV with various apps-NBC, TLC, etc.  When I try to watch program on an app,   a message states   it's available only to viewers who receive TLC  as part  of their  pay TV subscription. I DO receive it! I've done this before but now  ccan't. Why???!

We suggest clearing your receiver to refresh your service and prevent these error messages.

 

Follow these steps:

  • Press the MENU button
  • Choose 'Search & Browse,' then 'Smart Search'
  • Press 'Select Type' and 'CLEARMYBOX'
  • Press Select with "All" highlighted, then press 'Select'

If I do this, won't it wipe out all the shows that I've recorded with my DVR??

No. CLEARMYBOX won't wipe your files. It just forces the DVR to rebuild its Guide database.

Same problem, except it’s on my Firestick. Updates have been done.

You can try refreshing your DirecTV services. This will re-synchronize your accounts and services. This has proven to resolve these kind of troubles in the past.
