Why has ATT disabled email capabilities from Kyocera 4g flip phone E4830?

Why has ATT disabled email capabilities from Kyocera 4 g flip phones E4830? I was told by Customer Service that ATT was starting to limit the services on 4g's. Emailing capabilities is being taking away but the price of the service I pay for is still the same. Other companies have not disabled emails on the 4 g's.

Two weeks ago I started receiving an error message "Unable to sign in" when I opened my emails. On 2/29/24 my emails stopped updating mid-day. I received no notice from ATT that this service was going to be cutted. I called on 3/1/24 and spent over an hour on the phone trying to get an answer; the lady I spoke with in technical support said this issue does not go pass Tier 2 and I could only speak with her. I asked for her supervisor and she put me back into the call bank waiting for support. I called Kyocera and was sent instructions on how to set up the email. I followed the instructions, but ATT has blocked that path too. I called back and spoke with ATT Customer Service. The guy I spoke with said he had an email stating the email service was being cut for the 4g and ask me if I had received the notice. I told him no and asked for him to forward me the notice. He said that he had no way to forward me an email. So, I hung up and started talking to other network providers. I made another attempt to speak with ATT and spent close to 2 hours waiting for a supervisor which never came on the line. The CSR said the entire time the supervisor was on 1 call. I don't think so. The CSR told me I should speak with their legal department. First time I ever had that told to me by a company. She said that out of haste when I remarked "I am paying the same price for service but now receiving less service." I completely understand now why ATT stock value is going down!

Hey @Watcord, sounds like you've been through a lot, and we want to help change this experience for you,

We would be able to help with your device's troubleshooting steps to work towards a solution. Visit our Device help centre and select email and messaging and follow the prompts.

Check out Kyocera DuraXE Epic Email Settings for step by step on how to add and setup a email on your device.

Note: Steps may vary depending on the email provider. For this demonstration, Gmail was used. If you have an email account already set up and would like to add another, from the Email app, press the right menu button to select Options > down button to highlight Settings > OK key > Left menu button to select Add and follow the prompts. If multiple accounts are configured, from the Email Settings screen, press the up or down button to highlight the desired account > OK key > down button to highlight Set as default email > OK key > right menu button to select Save.

If the app is not a AT&T app or email, you will need to reach out to the third-party app support for further assistance with the error you are receiving.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Thank you for your comment, but I have been through all of this all ready. The bottom line is AT&T has already informed me that they have elimnated email from the Kyocera 4g. Also the Kyocera 4g has been removed from the line of 4g flip phones offered by AT&T. So if I want to continue to use this type of phone with email capability, I have to find another network provider.

BTW Watcord, I also have a E4830.  The email for me has never worked right since the beginning...it will show me incoming emails, but it will not send them and never has.  I've been through the settings with both ATT and Kyocera, but everything is how they say it should be, it simply won't send emails.  I am still seeing new incoming emails today, 4/8/24, so not sure if that will end at some point.  I've been an ATT customer since 2003 and I am hoping they won't force me to change providers due to lack of ability to offer quality durable MIL-spec product...
