Cannot connect smart tv to internet
Have had my samsung smart tv since December 2012 and all has worked just fine. We just left for vacation for 10 days came home and now my tv will not connect to the internet. All of our other devices connect to the internet just fine, so definitely a problem with the tv internet only. We received an update form uverse while we were gone and wondering if that has something to do with it. anyone else have this problem?

eventually come back on me and I talked to a Samsung guy on the phone and
he was actually able to give me a code which I entered in which allowed him
to see my television and then he was able to reset something from his end
and since then again Netflix has been working fine. So if you call them you
need to ask them to specifically that to give you a code that will allow
them to see your television connected to the Internet and through the
internet they will be able to possibly help your television to communicate
with Netflix.

We had the same problem with our Samsung TV. We changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and it fixed the problem. Thanks, whoever posted that in the first place! Saved us no doubt HOURS on the phone with AT&T support, and a Samsung service call.

I think that I'm going to get a Linksys router and plug it in to the back of my u-verse router and set up another internal wireless network. Anyone see a problem with that?

Okay, here is what was wrong with my Uverse router (Arris). Whenever I tried to find the router by pressing the DNS button, it turned on and was red, which I assumed that it was signalling itself out to be picked up by all devices. Well, I was wrong. I read on the AT&T forum that red meant that DNS was TURNED OFF! Can you imagine that? I've had the AT&T Uverse guy out and their on-line specialists who check out specifically Uverse and Samsung connectivity issues multiple times on the phone. They even dialed into the Arris router and verified that all was cool, so it must be the TV -- several times. THEN, I just happen to read the post and how to dial into the Arris setup from my laptop and change one field (DNS on -- Yes or No) and voila! It worked. Oh, now the DNS light is green when broadcasting itself. It's been about two weeks now, use it every night without any glitches.
Hope this helps someone; it certainly saved me from pulling out more hair or breaking something I really didn't want to break.
Boom, Shuk a lac a lucka.

Everywhere you said DNS, should we assume you meant WPS?

Sorry about that, it's been two weeks and I already forgot everything about the problem that I was so delved into and learned and understood things about routers and networking that I never thought that would ever be necessary to know. When the problem was solved so easily, I felt like I did 20 years ago after taking a Physics test that I stood up all night cramming for, totally drained and mindless of what I had studdied so hard for.
But, Ace - Expert, as a self-described "Ace - Expert", why didn't you know this when I and others cryed out every day about this same problem? Many are still experiencing similar problems. I hope that this novice's experience helps at least one poor soul struggling with the lack of connection between these two great companies who make their livings off of inter-product connectivity and the support thereof.
