Mountain States Telephone And Telegraph Company Easement- Book 417 Page 120

Working to find the current owners of a utility easement for buried telephone line and determine if it is still in use or can be released to allow for construction.  Looking to connect with someone in the real estate department to determine the current ownership.

Mountain States, which state? Colorado, Montana, Utah, Wyoming are not in AT&T territory. Just looked at the old Mountain States and which states, none in AT&T territory.

Mount States was split from AT&T into US WEST, which is now owned by Quest / Lumen.  I would check with them

@JefferMC  The only one you forgot was CenturyLink, now Lumen but who knows what was split up from there. Put your zip code in this link it will tell you all internet providers, which will give you a hint on phone providers too.

CenturyLink changed its name to Lumen

On September 14, 2020, CenturyLink, Inc announced that it had changed its name to Lumen Technologies, Inc. Effective with the opening of the trading day on Sept. 18, 2020, the company stock ticker changed from CTL to LUMN.

Lumen sold or spun off part of the company into a separate company now called BrightSpeed

Who is Brightspeed?

Brightspeed is a dynamic new company led by industry veterans committed to enhancing the service experience for new and existing customers and to creating a next-generation telecom and connectivity business. Brightspeed currently plans to invest at least $2 billion to build a network that will bring faster, more reliable Internet and Wi-Fi to communities throughout the Midwest, Southeast, and certain parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. At closing Brightspeed will be comprised of the incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC) assets and associated former operations of Lumen Technologies (CenturyLink Security’s parent company) across 20 states.

What are the details of the Brightspeed transaction?

Lumen (CenturyLink Security’s parent company) is selling parts of our business in 20 Midwest and Southeast states, as follows: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and parts of Wisconsin.

As the mountain states are not a part of BrighSpeed recommend contacting Lumen in Denver Colorado
