Keep getting random disconnects
For the past 2 days I've been getting randomly disconnected. I've tried resetting the residential gateway and restarted my pc several times. I've also checked to see if programs might be causing it, and that's not it either.
It's also wifi using the usb device they provided.

If I had the guess, those time outs are just because the server that you're doing a tracert to doesn't accept incoming pings.
What sort of disconnects are you experiencing? Wireless disconnects? Disconnects from services, but the "Broadband" light on the modem stays green? Disconnects where the "Broadband" light turns red?

I'm unsure about the lights on the modem - this pc is in a different room. The disconnects seem to be only on this PC, which leads me to think the wireless device is causing the issue. Malware Bytes returned a clean scan.
The disconnects are mostly noticed in gaming - they are random in length, sometimes 10 seconds sometimes almost a minute. Either way it's enough to cause substantial problems.
The tracert is supposed to be to google.com, I'll double check the IP and run it again.

I am no expert, so this is only my sefi-formed opinion, but based on what you described, I would say it is definatly the connection between that pc, and your network.
If it were wired, i'd guess your cable was too long and might need to put a signal booster in the line.. but since it is wireless, I'd have to say, something seems to be blocking your signal, somehow.
The good news is, fixes for that are pretty easy. if something is blocking the signal, move it out of the way. if it is just too far away, they make signal boosters for wi-fi. and high gain antens, and so on. Just think in terms of what you would do to improve the signal on your radio, and you have the right idea.
And it could also be radio interferance from an outside source. You would be suprised what can make static noise over a radio signal.
Just a thought or two to try. Who knows, it might even work.
Good luck.

Can you post your line stats by going to http://192.168.1.254 in your browser and heading to the "Broadband" section and post items such as max rate, sync rate, attenuation, and noise margin?
Your latency isn't really high to your gateway which makes me not think it's a constant wireless issue unless it's just a random spike every once and a while. I'm not really sure though.
While on that web page, go to the LAN/Home Network tab, and then wireless. While there, change your wireless channel to either 1,6, or 11. Don't use any other channel or you're going to have more problems now or in the near future.

Sure, let me know if you need anything else.
DSL Details
Down Up
Also, I reran a trace route for a different google.com IP:
As far as the interference, nothing has been changed, it just started doing it 3 days ago and hasn't stopped. I have repositioned the wifi router and usb network adapter to higher ground, but it didn't solve the issue.
Thanks for the help.

Are there a lot of link retrains/DSL training errors in your error log? If so, how long has it been recording them. Your noise margin is a little low, but not sure if you're getting disconnects because of it.
As stated above, make sure you're on those channels 1,6, or 11(preferably channel 6).
If you don't have any major errors and have a decent network signal, you may need to get your gateway replaced. It could even just be the computer.

How do I get that info, like noise margin? I'm not seeing that in the broadband section on my router's admin page. My router is a Pace Plc 3801HGV.

Hello @hourback
For the Pace 3801HGV, you can find your broadband information by going to http://192.168.1.254 and then clicking the "Settings" tab on the top of the page. You then click on the sub tab of "Broadband." This direct link may also work for you http://192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=C_1_0
