Tablet Security on U-verse internet (attached to ATT landline phone
What security is provided to subscribers like myself who have an iPad 4, but no computer ? The Macaffee
Security Suite will only work for a tablet through a computer. Thanks.

This is a good question. A simple answer is: iPad doesn't need any additional security.
To expand on this answer a little bit, without getting too technical... Things like viruses or malware are programs, that need to be installed or ran (and in most cases, they execute those functions silently, without user's input). However by design, in iOS all programs (or apps) can only be downloaded and installed from their App Store, and Apple checks and approves them first, so all of their apps should be safe. As a result, there are no real antivirus apps for iOS devices, because there is no real security threat, you simply don't have to worry about it with your iPad.
