Difference between AT&T vs WI-FI?

I have  a smartphone htc Inspire 4G & just recently bought a  Kindle Fire HDX

7 w AT&T.

But I'm wondering if I have WI-FI do I need to have a connection w AT&T for

the Kindle Fire HDX 7?

Hello @pk88876

With AT&T service you'll be able to use your device everywhere there is cellular service, while with wi-fi only, it'll only work when connected to a wi-fi hotspot, so wi-fi is a little bit more limited vs. the flexibility of cellular data.

Thanks,

Dmitriy

I personally only watch movies on my wifi at home its 105mbs which is kind of nice too, sometimes we do demonstrate dance videos on att network which is a pain they often stall out even on 4g or 4g lte service i wouldn't do it.

Netflix told me when i called there customer service and asked you need at least 5mbs to watch there hd movies i don't think 4g gets you that.

I put in Wi-Fi in the house - everyplace other I'll use AT&T.  I'm very pleased

w this arrangement.

Depending on the quality of the video, each episode of an hour or so can use up about 700 MB.  So I would suggest either using wifi, which does not count towards your limit (even if using AT&T branded hotspots), or increasing your data.
