Can someone from ATT tell me why your tracking my web

I just read an article on ATT AdWorks and how ATT is tracking my web broswing on my device  to deliver targeted advertisements to its customers in what's called "Relevant Advertising ?

I never consented to this tracking on my device.

AT&T customers can check whether their devices are sending identifying codes by visiting a website

AT&T customers can visit the following website on their mobile devices (while connected to the AT&T network) to turn off Relevant Advertising: http://205.234.28.93/mobileoptout/.

Do you know that although we PAY for wireless service, ATT is without our permission tracking and selling our information to advertisers? And we can't impact that using privacy settings in our browser? Reported by Forbes and Wired. See the link below. Verizon does it too, so we really have no option other than to demand they share the revenue with us.

ATTU stop doing this or pay me for my information.
