Just because you cancel in the middle of the billing cycle doesn't mean you're due a refund for the service you chose not to use.

Cell phone companies bill by the month and do not prorate final bills. If someone told you otherwise, they were mistaken.

I was told, by the rep at att who cancelled my service on the 24 of jan, I would get a refund with in 7 days. Cool I said.....after paying them $133 a month for 15 years (not always $133 a month, dont be stupid and pick this apart).......switching to TMobil, same plan for $55 a month 4 days after I paid att. NOW, they tell me im screwed and lol I get no refund. Since when do you not get a refund for (Edited per community guidelines) not used???????????????? The cable companies refund you. (Edited per community guidelines), direct tv from att refunded me a few years ago. SO, who are you to tell me this (Edited per community guidelines)???????? If you are someone, get me a number or email for corporate complaints. This is illigal and i feel like a (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines). How many would join??? prob millions...............duche

Like I said, the person who told you that you would get a refund was mistaken. People pay for service they don't use all the time. Direct TV stopped prorating the final month of service in 2019. Charter Spectrum doesn't prorate. Xfinity used a lot of fuzzy words which allow them to choose not to prorate.

This is illegal in a few places, but unless you are in California, Illinois, or New York it's perfectly legal and you agreed to it 15 years ago and several times over the years.

T-Mobile does not refund either. You pay month-to-month not day to day, service is not prorated when you leave. Same for all of the other service providers.

Information is published in the customer agreement for all the service providers...

(Edited per community guidelines), I must have been flung into a parallel universe. Maybe I have been a "too loyal" of a customer with these companies and they have changed their rules in the meantime. This is pure (Edited per community guidelines) and we all know it and agree with that I'm sure. This is just a "semi legal" misrepresentation with misleading contractual words that people either never read because its usually redundant or they simply "can't" understand the dogma. Big corps are taking over the world as we know it and we are all getting screwed little by little without realizing it. Hey, I know a Wendy's where you can get a Dave's Single for $14. Anywhoo, T-Mobile = 2 phones unlimited (except for the you know "stuff") $55 w/ unlimited hot spot, throttled down of course after max data reached. Thanks for all the updated info for real. I KNOW all of you helper junkies were just waiting in line to help on this one. Sayonara!

This is not an airport. Departures need not announce themselves.
