AT&T Trade-in SCHEME
Jan 19, 2024 - I traded in my eligible, unlocked and in perfect condition iphone 13PRO 256GB with AT&T Value Plus(SM) plan and ATT received my trade in device on Feb 13, 2024. I never missed a payment as they are on auto-pay. When I started the trade in process, I checked my eligibility with the tradein.att.com by entering my mobile number and IMEI number of the phone and entered the promotional code. Everything went smooth and the result was my device and plan was eligible and according to the calculations, I would be getting a $1000 trade-in value.
April 10, 2024 - I got a text from ATT telling me that instead of an estimated $1000 trade in value, I received only a one time trade in value of $290 as they are saying; 'did not meet all the eligibility requirements to qualify for one of our current trade-in promotional offers.'
Before I started this whole process, I made sure that my device and plan was eligible and now you are telling me its not and I am getting $290 for an iphone 13PRO 256 GB which is itself worth more than $600!!!
If this is not resolved, I am both cancelling my ATT wireless and internet plans. This is on a basic and pure basis a SCAM.

Value Plus was NEVER eligible for the iPhone trade-in deals.

I clearly remember seeing AT&T Value Plus listed under the accepted plans in the trade-in agreeement. I didnt want to miss a thing so i read the whole thing. Otherwise I wouldnt start this whole process because its obviously not feasible.

Feel free to double check the requirements of the promotion to see if that plan was a qualifying plan. Just because you think you saw it doesn’t mean you weren’t mistaken.

Additional Terms:
My plan AT&T Value Plus(SM) costs $50.00/mo (Excludes taxes and fees). So that would make my plan eligible

Your plan has to be $75 or more NOT $50.

Also don’t know how you ordered online if on the Value plus plan. The order process indicates eligibility, or not…
