My s7 edge will not update!

I have the Galaxy S7 Edge. There have been several updates released since I've had it. However, I have not received any of them. It says that the security patch level is February 1 of 2016. Which is before the phone was even released. I have tried manually looking for the updates, but it always says my phone is up to date. I know this is not true. What can I do to get the updates to show up?!

Greetings @AshRob!

I am sorry to hear you have not been receiving updates on your device. I completely understand how concerning this can be, since updates are what keep our phones safe. I would be more than happy to assist in getting your device up to date.

After looking further into this for you, it does appear there have been some updates released for the Samsung Galaxy S7; it does look like the most recent update was released January 4, 2017. There can be a few different ways to be able receive the update.

The most common way is the Over The Air (OTA) which is done through the phone. For the best results you will want to make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi when you check for the updates on the device. If you are unable to receive the update this way when connected to Wi-Fi  the next best step would be to visit the nearest Best Buy Store for the Samsung Experience. Here they would be able to flash the latest updates to your phone for you!

I hope you have found this informative and helpful! Thanks for reaching out, if you have any other questions please feel free to let us know. We are always happy to help!
