Getting 1 Letter Texts on Lumia 1020
When my contacts send me group texts I am noticing that with a few contacts I am only getting the first letter of their text. Everyone else on the group text sees the whole text message. I also can see everyone else's texts.

I’m so sorry you’ve run across that group messaging issue! I can imagine it’s incredibly frustrating. I’ll be glad to help out!
I have found a few other instances of a situation like this happening with a Windows device and group messaging. Upon further investigation, it appears to be a clash with Advanced Messaging in Android software and the Windows OS on your device.
There are a few ways to turn off Advanced Messaging that perhaps you could pass along to that person you’re having issues receiving from.
Alternatively, they can try these steps below.
You may also want to take a trip through our AT&T Troubleshoot & Resolve tool to go over some troubleshooting steps for your device. Once you’ve clicked that link, it will ask you to choose the make and model of your phone. You can then select Messaging beneath the Select a Service-Related Issue column.
