unlocking my samsung phone i got a error network lock and need a MCK code

im trying to get my Samsung phone to work again. i was a AT&t customer and was switching to TMobile Should not have had to have it unlocked anyway it was paid for before I started service.  However we requested a unlock on it like the instructions ask it was approved Somehow in the middle of all this nether my AT&T sims card nor my T Mobile sims will not work and the phone is asking for a MCK code

Hello Anjelik1, we're here to help with your unlock phone request need for a MCK code.

As the ACE @formerlyknownas mentioned, when you request to unlock you should have received an email with an 8 or 16 digit numeric unlock code. MCK means Master Code Key. AT&T doesn't have the MCK code.

When unlocking a Samsung device after it has been approved, you only get 5 tries to unlock your phone. After that, you will not be able to use it with another service provider.

We hope this information helps. Feel free to reach back out to us if you have any other questions or concerns.

When you request to unlock it from AT&T you should have received an email with an 8 or 16 digit numeric unlock code. This code has to be entered into the pop-up box which occurs when you insert a non AT&T SIM card. Any of this sound familiar? If you have entered incorrect codes instead of the AT&T unlock code that might be why you are now being requested to enter an mck code. You should not have entered any code other than the unlock code that AT&T would have provided via email in response to your request for that unlock code.

If you have permanently locked your phone and now are required to enter the mck code you will have to contact AT&T, and will likely have to file an FCC complaint to get them to ask Samsung for the mck code because AT&T does not have that.

AT&T does not like when you file an FCC complaint for something that may not be their fault. But if you can prove that you are the original purchaser of that phone there's no reason you cannot file an FCC complaint to request the MCK code from the manufacturer

Dealing with the same issue. Being told to wait 7 days "do not call before", then after waiting, AT&T has no record of calls, no record of our 'urgent case', no case notes. NOTHING. Nothing except being asked if we want to "port back to AT&T" Joke of customer support, joke of a company, will not ever spend another dime with them.
