Voicemail Issue - Wireless Customer Not Available

My nephew is on my account. He tried to access his voicemail and received a customer not available message. Would not surprise me that he never set it up and now it is gone. Will I need to contact ATT with his phone in hand or would he be able to. I am still paying a monthly fee for his voicemail so it would great if it actually worked.

No fees for voicemail, just comes with the plan. If you have the app:

  1. Go to account overview and open “my wireless”
  2. Scroll to “My devices & add ons” and choose the device you want to manage
  3. Select “Manage my device”
  4. Look in “Device options & settings”, choose “reset voicemail password” and follow the steps

If you do not have the app, call 611 from an AT&T phone, ask for loyalty and retention, then ask for the voicemail password to be reset.

If you do not setup voicemail within 60 days of activation of phone number it is removed. You will have to call AT&T to have it added back and then it has to be setup.
