Website will not allow upgrading to fiber
Hi all,
I'm trying to upgrade my internet service to fiber online and am getting very frustrated.
I received an upgrade-or-else-be-disconnected letter and email that provide a website to visit to change plans. However, that URL merely steers me, after logging in, to my account summary page. I cannot find a provision to change my plan anywhere on that page. No matter what I do, it just redirects me back to this page like an infinite loop.
Somehow, however, I was able to get to a spot where I could see the various fiber speed plans and pricing. I can add a plan to my cart and presumably could check out, but will this be considered an upgrade? It does not seem to be tied in any way to an upgrade of AT&T internet service but instead appears to be for new installations. But I can't be sure. If I go ahead and order a plan, will that cancel the old plan they want to obsolete or do I somehow have to specifically "upgrade"?
Also, the gift card situation is confusing. In selecting a plan, say the 300Mbps plan, it offers a variety of gift cards as a reward. If you read the details on the offers, they say "For new residential AT&T fiber customers." Now does that mean for new AT&T customers only or for all new fiber customers? It's ambiguous. Some of the offers are for internet ordering only, which is why I am reluctant to call to arrange an upgrade and lose those rewards. However, part of me feels like maybe they are indeed only for new AT&T customers. The fliers I've received all mention a $100 gift card incentive. The other two offers are for acting quickly $50 and a Holiday promotion $100, so it's unclear if those are available in my situation or not.
Any guidance? Should I just order the fiber any way I can from the shopping cart? Am I entitled to all those cards by ordering online and should therefore not call in my upgrade to fiber?
Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

when entering your address online, it is eligible for fiber 300 and greater?

If I enter my address, it says fiber service is available and says we found an existing AT&T account at that address. It then asks what I want to do, listing the three options I outlined above.
When I got into see the plans somehow before it offered service from 300 to beyond 1G.
