lost my phone and forgot pin

hello. i am currently typing this on my work phone. I am currently out of town in Montana bear hunting with some friends.
Dropped my phone in the lake, and cant seem to find it. I was already planning on getting a new phone anyway so this just cut time shorter for me. I have a eSIM it has been awhile sense I have used my pin I don't know if I remember, and also was wondering if I go to the closest at&t store to me, could they sell me a new phone and transfer all my number to my new phone? If not what should I do, I need my phone ASAP.

Yep you will definitely need to appear in person at an AT&T store with proper ID.

I’m sure a local AT&T store will happily sell you a new phone, and be able to verify your identity so you can get a new SIM with your number.  As far as transferring info from your old phone, that would be on you to restore from the latest iCloud backup of your lost phone.

Hey @Dagoober2,

We regret that you have lost your phone, let's get the help you need.

Lock or Wipe Your Device:

  • If you had an activated AT&T or third-party app or add-on before your device was lost or stolen, use it to lock or wipe your device.
  • Suspend service and block your device online or submit a ticket
  • Change your passwords for other accounts on your device, including your Apple ID, Facebook, and email accounts.

As our ACE's mentioned, please visit the store to make a new purchase or you can also place the order online to the desired address.

Hope this helps! Feel free to contact us if you have any further queries.
