Android update LGV60

I bought a V60 unlocked about one year ago.

I was told software updates would.be possible, however I'm.stuck with Android 11.

I live in Portugal thus my operator is not AT&T , it's Vodafone

Please can you help me with updating my phone.

Classic ATT help, no help at all

AT&T Android phones only can download updates to their phones as an existing customer of AT&T in the USA. Since you live in Portugal that's not possible.

If you ever come to the United States, and use AT&T for service it might trigger the required updates.

Beyond that you could flash updates on your own, but that's not something we're allowed to discuss any further on this forum. Your entirely on your own

Hey @Tonytex

We see how important is to keep your device up to date, and let's get the help you needed.

  1. Check for Updates:Check for Updates:
  2. Vodafone-Specific Updates:Vodafone-Specific Updates:
    • Since you’re using Vodafone in Portugal, it’s essential to check if they provide any specific software updates for the LG V60.
    • Visit Vodafone’s official website or contact their customer support to inquire about any available updates for your device.

Hope this helps! Feel free to revert for any further questions.

Hi Gary

Thank you for the reply.

I did what you asked concerning going to the SOFTWARE UPDATE

It says I am up to date , but the Android version I have is 11, and I understand 13 is Possible.

I also went to a Vodafone center today and they informed me the software updates are not blocked by them....so if a phone has a update it does not matter what operator is being used.

Please what other solution or suggestion do you have to make this update a possibility.

Thank you

Tony

🤦🏼‍♀️. Account specific support for a non-customer who lives in Portugal.

Yes I have to agree with your opinion

Seems like a automated reply

The sad thing is that I have a brick with me....should never have bought the V60

Never again .....this has been a lesson

I didn't want to make any negative comments, after all you picked the phone, but I owned a V60, I bought it cheap, there was nothing wrong with it as far as hardware and software. But it was not a great phone. The days when LG was ahead of everyone else in specifications are in the distant past. It's why they're out of the mobile business, they just could not produce a really solid phone anymore.

Sorry.  I know it's a discouraging answer

@GLIMMERMAN76

I understand that they don't have the direct message option so they are really rather useless on this forum.

I assume they are tasked with responding to threads whether they have a useful response or not. Just like all other parts of this business they are essentially being paid for piece work.

I'm missing the days where they used to just rubber stamp the comments made by aces and move along.
