I recently returned a gateway but never got an email or text confirming it was delivered. I sent a PM to ATTU-versecare. They confirmed it was delivered to ATT. They also said the receipt from UPS was confirmation it was returned. Definately keep that UPS receipt. PM them to check on it.

I just replaced my nvg589 with an arris nvg599. 2.4 and 5.0 n/ac bands. I think the other one is a 5268. I don't know if there is much of difference between the 599 and 5268.

If the cable is strung in the air between poles it will probably stay aerial. Look at your property diagram. There is probably a utility easement through your property. You could put in a request for burial of the cable through your public utilities commission.

Aviewer, I think the shortage of remotes is just the ir ones. Getaction007, yes it takes a few minutes to get a human but you'll get one. 2 day air via ups once the equipment is shipped. Try again early on Friday.

Call (800) 288-2020 and ask for a new replacement remote. They should send one for free. That's what I did a year or so ago.

Disconnect it from the cat5 cable and see if it will connect wirelessly outside. Is the WAP still connected to the RG? Is there another wireless receiver in use in the house?

Because wired connections work better than wireless and the wireless receiver can connect via cat5 cable. Somebody (ATT tech?) decided to connect it wired because there is a wired conncetion available.

Call customer service or pm Attu-versecare and ask for a newer dvr. If they do send you one you'll lose all your recordings. If this is an Stb, specify what model you want replaced. You won't lose recordings if an Stb. Ask if you will be charged if they mail one. Don't ask for a tech to come and replace it. You'll be charged $99 for the tech to come and possibly another $5...

Have you tried a whole house reboot? Unplug the DVR and all other STB's, restart the gateway. Once the gateway has restarted (all lights green), plug in the DVR and let it restart. Then plug in the next STB and let it completely restart, repeat for all other stb's.

Login to your att.com account and click on myat&t. Look to the right of my plans and click change plan. You can change your tv and Internet plans there. As you make changes the page will update to show the price changes. You can cancel any changes. This could help you budget.

The wifi password doesn't allow you to access the router settings. That is a separate access code. So I would say you are safe. I don't know if your router page will come up from a computer outside your home network. Try it from a different computer not on your network. I'm going to try on a work computer when I go to work next week.

Utility easements are shown on property surveys. If you didn't have one included in your mortgage papers when you bought the home, you'll need to get a property survey. Contact your real estate agent to get one. Some states require one to be done during the sale of a home.

I use this switch, Upvel 8 port gigabit switch. This one has been recommended in the past as well and used to be used by AT&T. Netgear prosafe gs108e 8 port gigabit switch.

Log into your account at att.com, then got to the summary tab. Go to change my plan. You should be able to make changes to your plan and see what tv only would cost. If you have a bundle promo it will tell you you will be breaking your promo. Once you see the new price you can cancel changes.
