Been happening since I woke up this morning. Multiple router/gateway resets do nothing. Since its only certain sites, it must either be an AT&T issue or maybe some weird internet backbone/DNS issues. Located in Kansas City, MO.

Yeah Zune knows that your new phone is not the old phone. So if you have already stopped using/syncing your current Surround, you can go ahead and just Forget the phone. When you plug in your new phone, you'll set it up all over again.

That was for the original Focus. So far, it seems like Samsung might have actually done something right this time and not screwed with the internals of the Focus S. Here's hoping.

Try a hard reset of the phone. I use my Tilt 2 on WiFi all the time. It not being on an at&t account should have no effect on the hardware functionality of the device (such as Wi-Fi). at&t doesn't control that.

Thing is, everything is moving away from Flash and Silverlight. Mobile sites are built in HTML or HTML5 these days, and Flash is staying put on the desktop (phones just aren't built to handle Flash, period). Eventually, we won't need Flash or Silverlight anymore.

It sounds like you might have just have had a defective screen that was ready to give out, all it needed was a little time. Unless you were doing something not normal with your screen, the same thing should not happen to any phone you get. That being said, screen protectors and cases can help protect against the elements. Also, the screen doesn't require you to press hard ...
