For those of you that are already rooted, consider trying out one of the two leaked froyo roms floating around on xda. The DHCP issue is fixed, and the roms are fast and smoothe.

I receive some automated text messages from my job alerting me of certain things. They all come from the same email address, however, when they arrive at my phone, the all look like they come from a different sequential number. It would be nice if they were all grouped as one conversation, however that will never happen unless every message comes from teh same "sender". I...

There are some ForceClose issues that pop up if you try to reinstall settings from Titanium Backup or its ilk, but otherwise its a pretty smooth rom. Rooting / LagFix / usual goodies are still being dialed in, so expect a bumpy ride if you like to be on the bleeding edge.

This issue appears to be fixed as of the i897UCJI6 software update - better known as FROYO. Who knows when this will be officially released though...

@foxbat121 Most home routers use the 192.168.x.x network. This defaults to a class C netmask (255.255.255.0). This was never the problem with wifi. Many larger school and corporate networks make use of teh 10.x.x.x network, which by default has a class A netmask (255.0.0.0), however many businesses will partition the network into several subnets using different subnet mas...

I found the mobile banking app to be useless. It allows you to check balances, but no way to transfer funds or make payments. Very limited use. I stopped using it imediately.

Youre right. Something seems to be adding the 10.0.0.0/8 route to the routing table. Ive done a fair bit of searching but I cannot find whats adding it. Anyone know how to add the iproute delete statement to a network script?

Glad to hear (well, not really) that Im not the only one experiencing this. Repeated emails and chat conversations fall on deaf ears. I was directed to call level 2 support, however I just dont have the time or inclination to bother at this point. The only solution is to statically assign the IP address when Im on my employers network. I have a shortcut to the WiFi settin...

So I tried to report this bug to samsung, but all they did was reply with a link to teh bada developers site, so Im not really sure how to submit it. Im posting this here in teh hopes that someone can direct me the proper channels. Anyway, here's the issue: When aquiring a wifi network address, the setwork stack seems to use the default class A network mask instead of the...

I may not have the same exact issue, but I am experiencing some weirdness when connecting through my cisco WAP4410N access point. However Mine is not a WPA2 issue as ive also set the AP to WEP and limited it to b/g. My issue seems to not honor the subnet mask through DHCP. When I statically IP teh phone, everything is great. However, when I use DHCP, I cannot ping other p...

Theres a few howtos out there. Do a quick google search. Anyway, this has been shamelessly pilfered from another site: If you just got your hands on a new Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant or Captivate , you may have noticed some GPS issues. Samsung reportedly has as well, and may address this in a coming OTA fix. In the meantime, it's not hard to fix the problem yourself -- provi...
