How a discount becomes a penalty to stay with the same provider..... In the mobile share value plan, you get a discount line fee, provided you brought your own phones, or are out of contract. When you buy a new phone outside of AT&T, you will keep the discount. When you buy a new phone from AT&T, you now pay extra per (line) because the discount no longer applies. So, you...

One of our phones broke down and we quickly needed to put an older phone back in service, so we headed out to the corporately owned AT&T store to get the larger SIM we needed to use the old phone. We got there 10 min before closing time. The greeter at the door, I think was the store manager, who took our names and our number and warned us that there were 5 people in fron...

Although you may think that AT&T wants you to have the fastest you can possibly have, nothing can be further from the truth. In fact, AT&T is hard at work to minimize your speed and reduce the amount of data that you use. There have been pledges of thousands of dollars to get those bootloaders unlocked, so far with little result. Assume it won't happen. The convenience of...

You bought unlimited, but you never had it really. I estimate that for my company we spend several thousands of dollars to maintain unlimited status on a few of our lines, only to learn it wasn't really unlimited.

I could see other strategies resulting in total refund of fees paid under the falsely advertised 'unlimited' plan. Or, customers can be re-instated on their unlimited plans. Without data caps, without speed caps, without tethering limitations. Truly unlimited.

Unlimited isn't really unlimited. AT&T is being sued for this and rightfully so. My business spent thousands of dollars to maintain 4 lines of unlimited data, only to find out unlimited is really limited in so many ways. False advertising. AT&T will prevent your phone from setting up a wireless hot spot if you are on the 'unlimited' plan.

A word of warning on Samsung customer support. They are not better than AT&T. We returned a Galaxy S4 Active to Samsung to get the rubber seal replaced at the charging port that makes the phone waterproof. AT&T would not touch it, although the phone was still under warranty . We send the phone to Samsung, a few days later I get a call that I need to replace the display as...

In this case they took slick functionality and an excellent GUI design, and replaced it with Touchwiz. To me that is like taking a Ferrari, and putting a Nascar shell on top of it and a bunch of stickers. One of the main thing that is holding me back from getting a new Galaxy is Touchwiz and the knowledge that if I get it I will be looking at it for two more years (locked...

I am also convinced that AT&T is playing games with their customers, that go beyond your typical optimizing of business processes. Recently one of our phones was up for replacement, and like I said before the incentives tell me to not buy new from AT&T and instead get a nice used phone. We got a Nexus 5, and we are going to save a lot of money just doing that. We are not ...

What is up with accusing people of lying? Is that a new customer retention ploy by AT&T?

The good news is that AT&T has finally figured out how to deliver an update that works the first time around. Took you 4 tries, but you did it. But..... Why do you insist that I use WiFi? Our internet at home and in the office suks. It is a major problem to be forced to use WiFi for a 1 GB file. AT&T should let us download the update through their data network at the fast...
