"Wont be able to login using the web site until the user name and ID is created from the handset which was already mentioned." Not true. Yes, you can perform you're initial registration online at att.blackberry.com Just click on the register link. You'll need your BB's pin number to do this.

Each phone must have it's own data plan even with a family talk plan. Furthermore the Blackberry requires a different data plan than the iPhone data plan. Until you have a BB data plan assigned to your BB's pin number you won't be able to use anything but the phone functions...

Login to your account at: att.blackberry.com and you can reset the passwords for your various e-mail accounts.

Try pulling the battery out and letting it re boot. You can also go login att.blackberry.com and try re sending the service books from there to see if that helps. The original responder is correct that message does mean that there is no BB data plan. if it persists you'll need to call CS and have them look into it.....

On the Blackberry e-mail works differently than most other phones, it's pushed to the handheld device. Assuming you have a BB data plan you start at the att.blackberry.com site. Here you can enter any and all of your e-mail accounts. Once setup the BB servers monitor all of your accounts virtually real time. When a new message is found it is immediately sent to your phone....
