Thank you everyone for your feedback. As for the slow response time, Haterslayer & Peds were correct! I actually had the correct remote laying around the house but wasn't using it. As soon as I did the mute/enter, it worked so much better. I don't even have to point to the box anymore and can control from anywhere. Thanks again!

I don't know the model #. It's the universal one with yellow "select" button.

My remote doesn't have black "select" button. However, I tried to hold down "mute" and "enter" and nothing happened. Wireless Genie Mini sucks! Not only it responds slow to remote, picture keeps freezing.

I live in 2 story house. Main Genie HD DVR( HR44-700) is upstairs and works flawlessly. However, Wireless Genie Mini C41W-100 downstairs is very slow to respond to the remote, often requiring me to press the button multiple times to enter one channel number, when FF or RW it's hard for me to stop, sometimes it doesn't respond at all. I've put new batteries and it hasn't i...

Watching recorded program on Genie receiver has been real adventure lately. Picture freezes in the middle of it then asks if I want to keep or delete the program. Til then remote buttons don't work at all. I then have to start from the beginning again then when I fast forward, it freezes at the same spot. I tried resetting the receiver as well as the router but no avail. ...

Do they charge for that wireless bridge and does it require a tech to come out?

HR44-500 on TV upstairs and C41-100 on downstairs TV. I had the older DVR system before then upgraded to Genie last fall in order for me to record more shows at once. Tech said he would need to run copper wire to C41 in order to get rid of the lag or wait until it goes wireless. He said for wireless, I would not need additional components.

My zip code is 60062. Ever since I switched to Genie, picture constantly freezes on my TV with Genie Mini C41-100 hooked up. DirecTV tech told me he would have drill a hole in my wall and run new wire to fix this issue or just wait since I'll soon be able to get wireless on the current system. This was back in January. Does the wireless work on my current system yet?

Perhaps I got them mixed up. Tech has to drill a hole from outside and install copper cable wire. He said I should wait for wireless which should be sometime this month.

I heard from a DirecTv technician that Genie Mini C41-100 can be hooked up wireless now. This will be very helpful because my picture freezes often and I was told because my house has copper cable. I didn't want him to drill a hole and create new cable. Can someone confirm if this is true (wireless capability)?
