GRRRRR... I forgot the frustration I go through with the new format. I haven' t been here for a long time because of the "step-backward" changes made to the comminuty interface. Today I was troubleshooting an issue with an old phone... after the first few threads I read I gave up in frustration. Why? I select the options on the left to filter post. Select a post, read tho...

I have just gone through my first month of the 10GB shared internet. Before upgrading my phone and switching to this data package I was paying for 5GB with tethering. I have never had an issue with speeds in my area. I have been tethering my laptop and had no issues with a connection through laptop and phone. However, beginning yesterday it was impossible to do anything o...

The new forum interface is just awful. Harder to keep track of post I am actually intereseted in. Harder to tell if a new post has been added to a thread. No longer can I tell if a feed is read or unread. It was simply dumbed down and made to use on a tablet or mobile device. I used to like coming to the forums and see what people are reporting, talking about etc. Now it'...

It's not an issue... it's a feature. I too had other devices that sent notifications to the headphone... the S3 is the only one that does not. i have had my phone for nearly a year and found the feature is actaully useful. There are times I would leave my headphones connected, place the phone at my desk and walk away from it. Without this feature I would not hear any noti...

The following was copied from At&T's webpage: (Please notice the item in BOLD ) T he $60 Unlimited Talk and Text feature package requires $.25 Simple Rate Plan. The $60 Unlimited Talk and Text feature package is good for 30 days as long as your account balance is not expired. If $60 Unlimited Talk and Text feature package is not purchased or renewed within 30 days, the $....

I can vouch for that they sure do throttle the speed. Of course no one at AT&T will admit to it. I one time tried to prove it to an AT&T tech at a local store. At first they said it was my phone. I came back with my brothers phone and proved it wasn't. When I did a speed test using my phone with my SIM and then my brothers SIM, there was a huge difference. What did the te...

Several weeks ago, while hanging out with my bro, this subject came up. He is post-paid, I am pre-paid. He owns an HTC Diamond. I did a speed test on my phone with my SIM, three times, I got 54kb to 65kb, I put his SIM in my phone, did three more test, 825kb to 1mb. Big difference. So no its not the phone. Anyone else want to point blame elsewhere?

I do not use twitter but I do use Facebook. They have a mobile version that does not use a lot of data. Point you browser to http://m.facebook.com/ It's a watered down version but you can do the basic stuff (no you will not be able to play Mafia War) Most websites these days have a mobile version of their original site. Check with Twitter for their mobile version. Hope th...

They are betting that the ones that desperately need the data will buy it. Not only do they charge outrageous prices for their data but they throttle the data too. They will not admit they are doing it but I find it odd that when I was post-paid, paying for "UNLIMITED" data, using the same phone, within my home I had no issues with speed. Once I changed to prepaid, well d...

I would have to say they probably do but they will not admit it. When I was a post-paid customer, using the same phone I use now on prepaid, I had no issues with slow speeds. I was able to watch streaming video with no problem. Now on prepaid, I can not see video on any of the sites I used to be able to see before and loading mobile designed pages are painfully slow. I as...

I purchased the Samsung Jack Smartphone for full price with no contract. I am currently using it as prepaid. I pay $60 for the unlimited talk/text and $20 for the 100MB data, I do this monthly. It's a lot cheaper than being a month to month where I was paying $90 just for talk, an extra $20 for unlimited text and extra $30 for data. No brainer it's cheaper to go prepay. H...
