On the top left you can change the flash settings from Auto to off or on. It also uses the flash for focusing not just taking the picture.

And northern CA. I just got mine from Best Buy. Much better service and warrenty coverage anyway plus awsome buy back program. I will get almost $100 of what spent when I get a new phone in 2 years.

There are 2 ways to sync. Using the built-in or the Facebook app. I use the built-in to do the contacts syncing. It has been working for me lately. I think there were other problems before, but its been fine now.

That is a good question, I have though of the same. I think the only way would be to go into the alarm and disable/enable it. That should reset it. You can just click the green clock icon.

It has already been slowly released in the UK and then coming to the states by the end of the month. Visit Samsung's Galaxy twitter page to stay updated. Since its released by Samsung and not At&T it will be via the Kies software.

Are you serious? You can't complain when you are running a custom/leaked firmware. Go back to stock, it works fine.

Also if it super dead you have to let it charge a bit before it will turn on. Also I noticed with you first plug it in it load a battery charging screen that has to load first before you can boot it. Just plug it in and leave it for a bit.

I don't do any memory management or anything and I have no problems. If you are running the stock ROM maybe you should do a factory reset and start over. I think its one of the best phones out there and of the ones I have owned which is a lot. You should have to clear any cache or fuss with what programs are running, Android takes care of that for you.

You have tell it to mount the SD as a mass storage. By default it doesn't prompt. For mass storage you shouldn't need drivers. After you do that you have to click the notifciation bar after you plug it in and mount the SD card(s).

For .jar you need a java VM to run them, not sure if there is one for Android apps. Astro should be able to open .tar but if not find a unzip program that does .tar
