There is no notification anywhere officially from AT&T that this device is receiving KitKat at all .. most to all people are speculating that AT&T will not be upgrading this device because there sales were not good enough to warrant the time to upgrade it. I have an outstanding complaint with AT&T with the Better Business Bureau for there failure in this matter/device .. ...

It was released, however, for some unforseen reason, there was a major bug .. AT&T pulled the OTA. There has been no update since then as to whne it will be re-released.

In the same boat here.. 20 years loyal, 8 lines on my account.. I have been waiting very patiently for any sort of update on the Note 8.0.. the fact that nothing was received in regards to even 4.2.2 is just disrespectful to there customers. The international versions of our device have all been upgraded to 4.4.2 now.. and here we are, still on 4.1.2. Samsung states that t...

I like to know where I can return my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 ? I bought this on the Next Plan about 8 months ago with the expectation that AT&T would keep this up to date in regards to the firmwares etc. In 8 months, ALL International versions of the Note 8.0 have been upgraded to 4.2.2 and then 4.4.2 KitKat .. here we are, again .. 8 months later and I'm still on 4.1.2 !...

@Epillon702 .. Before you go blasting AT&T .. get your facts straight. The firmware upgrade has done NOTHING to your so called data plan as you state, almost 2GB used !!! The FACT that this OTA update being 541MB would ONLY download via WiFi .. there is no way around that stipulation .. you don't have WiFi, you don't get update until you have WiFi. So stop whining. At one...

bubbacav .. I second everything you said. I have been with AT&T since 1994 when they were originally Cellular One .. then AT&T, then Cingular, and back to AT&T. I have 8 lines with them currently on my personal account, I have since moved our business account (26 lines) away from AT&T and moved to Verizon. Billing wise, Verizon for those 26 lines is $500 cheaper per month...
