For those of us who are on legacy plans AND are coming off a two year contract, there is no discount or reduction in our monthly service plan to account for AT&T no longer subsidizing the phones. We have no choice but to pay full retail price for a new device if we want to keep our current plan (which for me is unlimited data). This is a win for AT&T and a loss for me. I ...

@GLIMMERMAN76 Either way, one has to pay full retail price for a phone regardless of whether they stay on a legacy plan or move to a currently offered plan. I don't have an issue with paying full retail price for the phone if it means my monthly bill is reduced to account for the hidden fee I was paying to subsidize phones that were purchased at a discount. So if my bill...

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here, but I still can't see how the Next plan is better than a two year contract (at least for me). I'm on an old legacy plan with unlimited data. The old plan obviously includes a subsidy charge for the phone. If it weren't for the unlimited data, I'd probably be okay moving to a shared plan. So it seems to me, that part of the driver ...

Yes, that's exactly what mine does as well. It's quite frustrating! And it doesn't charge when the exclamation point is displayed in the battery status window but I can't get an explanation of what it's suppose to represent either. Does anyone have a solution to this problem is the product simply defective?

I'm using the cable and charger it came with. I've even used a different cable but still the same result. I do get the USB flashing and from the elevate webpage, it says it's charging but when I look at the display, there is an exclamation point with a bar or two in the battery level indicator.

My 4G Elevate is not charging when it's on, a PC is connected to it through WiFi and plugged in to either a USB port or to an A/C outlet. This is quite annoying given I cannot keep it charged and essentially have to turn it off in order to do so. Is this normal?

I have searched high and low for an answer to this problem with no success. I just purchased my Bold and installed v4.6 of the Data Manager. When I connect the phone to the PC with DM on it, it recognizes my device and begins the synchronization process only to stop saying "The computer must be connected to the internet in order to initially configure synchronization setti...
