I have found that some HDMI cables will not work with ALL my equipment. I have called the manufacturer of the cable and got no where so return the cable and got another of a different manufacturer. these can be picky on the equipment used .. also it is well known not to mess with these with the equipment on. then you also have ground current issues where the TV and the sa...

The cable being tested to this 3 GHZ should hopefully prevent a bad cable from messing up the install. 3GHZ or 2GHZ test , since cables can be damaged or defective. house wiring can cause my suggested Ethernet wiring elimination product to not work well... with bad house wiring this surely can cause these not to work very well. I have tested these out on a 1960 house and ...

I have 7MBPS and have no problems watching an internet netflix 1080HD movie on wifi. 75 MBPS and problems with a movie not properly playing I would say interference is the problem .. hard to say where/why . I also have a TV Ethernet connected and same thing no problems . get just a little higher on the testing of the download speed.

Newer DIRECTV IRD's are capable of receiving and process IF signals in the A-band. To receive and process B-band signals, a converter is required to up convert the B-band signals to the A-band, thereby replacing he A-band signals with those of the B-band. The IRD switches the B-band converter using the same 22 KHz signal used to switch from 101 to 110/119. When the 22KHz ...

I would connect the TV to an antenna. see if the tv works properly. if so then use another HDMI input and cable from the DTV box to the set. if the DTV keeps messing up then the signal strength of the DTV must be checked .. if the signal is below 90% you will need an alignment/cables checked out. if you have 2 receivers DTV see if it is with one or both. DTV could be the ...

comcast/triwire use copper clad steel RG6 coax cables. these cables work real good for this type service because they DO NOT USE any DC voltages. with the satellites you need DC voltage to the dish . this powers the amplifier in the antenna. with a very short run 50 FT you may be good with the steel RG6 . The type RG6 I use is solid copper core with 3 GHZ swept cable . al...

good to hear you had this issue corrected for now LOL... when you have problems again good luck ! These telephone tech's are not technicians. they read off a per-programmed guide. like most asked questions. then they figure that this is way above their skill level then they BS you into , its your equipment / we will send a DTV tech out to fix it at your expense ....Then t...

from what I have found so far, the television providers all receive mpeg 2 compressed video from various sources. some drop the frame rate to cram more channels thru a data stream. as a result of this TV programing providers like DTV get what is given to them. now I am not on the inside of DTV but from what little I know DTV converts these MPEG2 compressed video to MPEG4....

well I received another D12 SD receiver from DTV the video has no distortions. the images around this is clear. the video however , has with this receiver ,faint vertical lines but not as noticeable as the first unit sent. video is acceptable. However when compared to the very old / decade plus old DRD420 the video is inferior. so thats it. I answered my own question . D1...
