Rico7961, I attempted to send you a personal message with my email, but when I click SEND, the forum keeps responding with a warning at the bottom telling me that the "Body of my message cannot be empty" when it clearly has text in it.

Is there any way to get my email to you without publicly posting?

Correct. Thanks, your suggestions functions...... at least now I can tune to 55-2 and watch the station. However, again as you noted, the channel guide is incorrect so my only options for recording this station would be old-school time-clock based. My questions is why does zip-code 12301 permit the OTA tuner to integrate this local station when no other zip-code that I tr...

Rico7961, Thanks, To shorten my original posting, I omitted the fact that that I WAS previously using Wauasu, WI as a secondary in order to pick up the channel-listing. However, since it went off-air, it certainly explains what has happened. Your 12301 secondary does function, but I lose the ability to use one-button record directly from the channel-guide. Apparently, I n...

Is there any follow-up that I can do, or department to ask (or it it a total waste of time)? Any chance it might return? I did notice that in the placeholder where this channel formerly sat, is now a link for a "View Now" DirecTV offering similar to the movie offerings above Channel 125. Lets see ......no more room for my loved local channels, but the directory DOES have ...

I have had the add-on OTA tuner for several years to pick up a local channel with a strong signal. Within the past couple of days, it suddenly disappeared from my DirecTV channel-guide. I cannot manually tune to it either, system says it does not exist. I've reset and re-scanned the OTA tuner all local channels a half-dozen times . . . . nada. I've verified it has a STRON...

Ilitzdog911, I wanted to keep phone connection for On-Screen Caller-ID feature. 3reddogs3, My apologies, I neglected to say that this action needs to be done AT the DVR, NOT on the remote. I also had to do it 3-4 times before it accepted the entry.

I continued digging and think I found the answer. On the HR20 and HR21, the hidden menu is pulled up by pressing "RIGHT ARROW" and "ACTION" together. On the HR34, the hidden menu is pulled up by pressing "RIGHT ARROW" and "GUIDE" together. From there, just follow the menu prompts to add the "99" dialing prefix. I'm still waiting to see if it actually works.

I've seen postings for modifying an outgoing dialing prefix on HR20 and HR21 so they can work on a VOIP phone (in my case Ooma), but cannot find a thread on how to do this on an HR34 series DVR. Over the past 24 hours, I suddenly have more than a dozen 20 second outgoing calls logged on my line, presumably because it cannot properly connect. I understand that adding a dia...

My DirecTV system is HR34/700. one DCCK and 3 Genier's (C31-700). System currently functions fine. For my piece-of-mind, I like to be able to identify all devices connected on my home network. As part of this, I log all of the MAC addresses used by all my equipment. I've identified all the MAC addresses used by the HR34 and the C31's, but I've noticed that the DCCK MAC ad...

How can I disable the default DHCP configuration setting within DCCK and manually assign a Static IP to the device? I do not see an option in the DCCK setup to accomplish this.
