My DSL router/modem is in another room. Would it hurt anything to just totally disconnect everything then set it up in in my living room next to the TV/box?

You don't think it's valid question? Maybe some people would rather actually have service with normal picture quality than no service at all..? I know I would. I'm up in the middle of the night a lot and there is nothing on TV. I would be extremely pleased with watching the shows I like - I don't mind in the slightest if they are in non-HD resolution. Anyways, I'm thankfu...

I guess I have that, I mean, I only have the one box, and it's in my living room It is, however, an HD DVR box. It's the only one for my whole apartment. Not sure if that's considered "whole home," but that's the one for my whole home, so...

One more question: Why do my Netflix and HBO2Go stream with no problem if my internet connection is so slow? Why does Direct TV have such a problem? I just don't understand that. I'm just upset that I wasn't told that Direct's on-demand has to go through the internet. When I agreed to the contract on the phone, I wasn't even told that the on-demand went through the intern...

What is WHDVR? I was told *and* I read that in order for on-demand to function, the minimum speed is only 750 kb/sec and mine is my speed is much faster than that.

I have been with Direct TV for a little over a month and I am so insanely over trying to get the On-Demand service to work. I have been back and forth with the Direct TV reps and AT&T so many times, it's really ridiculous. One company tells me it's the other company, and they continuously ping-pong me back and forth with instructions to tell them, "Direct TV people say th...

Direct TV On-Demand, in my opinion, is a terrible sad disappointment compared to Comcast. I have been with them for 1 month and have called them several, SEVERAL times trying to get it to work and still, I have not been able to access it. I have AT&T DSL and I have called them several times as well. One always says to call the other one and tell them one thing, and then t...
