Wouldn't they charge me extra for 2 DVR's? On Thu, Jul 10, 2014 at 10:47 AM, nolagoat <directv-admin@forums.directv.com

I'm about to upgrade my HR24+H24 system to a Genie. I have had a few hiccups with the HR24, and subsequently have to run to the other room and watch on the H24. So, my question is: Wouldn't it be better to replace only the HR24 with a Genie, and keep the H24 for redundancy? (I don't really need the Whole-home DVR functionality).

I "know" it didn't play in 1080p because the format button on the remote didn't provide a 1080p choice, nor did the button on the HR24 panel. On Wed, Jan 29, 2014 at 10:20 AM, litzdog911 <

Sorry if this has been answered before. Have a new 1080p 120Hz TV. Purchased an 1080p ONDEMAND movie on my HR24, but could not get it to play in 1080p, only 1080i. What's wrong?

As further info, when I'm online and at the DirecTV website, trying to watch SOMETHING live streamed, I get a "not connected to the internet message"

I'm aware of the "record and watch later" options. I find it hard to believe there isn't SOME way to watch live (or maybe a minimal time lapse) sports.

I have what I think is a simple need: watch LIVE sports on my new laptop via wifi. I have: HR24-500 H24-500 hooked to the router via ethernet Netgear N300 v2200 wifi/router/dsl - 5Mbps download speed Acer 2+Ghz 4MB laptop running Windows 8.1 What do I need to do? (extensive searching has not yielded an answer). Thanks in advance.

Well, I guess I'll be in the market for a new Flat-panel HDTV this season. Thanks much for your help.

OK. Well then, I can use the TV zoom feature, but it has to be reset for every channel change. Is there any way to avoid that? (I realize this is more of a "TV" question, than "Directv"). TIA
