I was able to get it working by "activating" the GenieGo from my iPhone first. Then the Mac seemed to be magically better. So I'm actually up and running.

Did this issue get resolved? I'm having the same problem on my 15 inch MacBook Pro. I get the error about system requirements and it fails.

I wonder if you had it installed previously it would continue to work, but what is blocking it in the AppStore is a version dependency on the device requesting the application list.

When you go to find it in the AppStore it does not appear in the list of apps on my iOS 7 devices. When I manually download it to iTunes and then attempt to sync it over to my iPad, it does not appear in the list of apps available to sync.

Any updates on this iOS 7 / GenieGO fiasco? I just installed my GenieGO only to discover that it's a non-functional brick without this iOS upgrade to the software. Hello, DirecTV are you listening???
